THE SECOND
Stasys Šimkus‘ competition was dedicated to the anniversary of the composer’s 90th birthday. It took place in January, 1977. Twenty choirs from Vilnius, Kaunas, Šiauliai, Panevėžys and Klaipėda took part in this competition. Not only adult choirs but also choirs of secondary schools of Klaipėda participated. The choir of Television Factory of Šiauliai (leader R. Andriuškevičius), the choir of Secondary School No. 12 (leader P. Budrienė), and the choir of Music School No. 2 (Leader D. Adomavičienė) became the laureates.
